Make it sound like you

Your first edit is a starting point. Open a finished yap, choose Change something, then What I say to change the words and cuts.

Remove self-talk, a noise or a whole take

  1. Choose Select a section in the words below your video.
  2. Tap the first word you want to remove. With Mark start selected, choose Split before word.
  3. Tap the last word you want to remove. With Mark end selected, choose Split after word.
  4. Check the highlighted section and its times. Choose Remove selected section. This removes the picture and sound in that range, including noises between words.
  5. Made a mistake? Choose Undo section removal before making another cut change.
  6. Use Make the new version below the transcript to apply all your draft changes together. The page shows the time estimate and any revision limit.

To remove only a noise between two words, mark the start after the earlier word and the end before the next word. If the noise overlaps your voice, removing it may cut your words too.

A word looks wrong?

Tap to fix spelling changes the caption text. It does not change the recorded voice. If the app mistook a noise for a word, use tap to cut or keep or remove that section instead.

Struck-through words are left out. Tap a cut word to bring it back. Pink words need a closer listen.

Keep your personality

You do not have to film perfectly. Keep a laugh, a pause or a glance when it helps your story. Review suggested repeated takes before removing them. Keep the original clips on your phone. Yapper does not keep them forever. Download the version you want to keep. You can switch back to saved versions while they are still available.

Words versus appearance

What I say changes the video's cut and needs a new version. On screen changes captions and effects on the current cut; use its Apply changes button. Make all your changes, then make the new version.
